I was fortunate to meet a few women on my recent travels. Beliz, the owner of Karia Bel’, is certainly the woman I met who I connected with, became friends with and I admire greatly. But, there were all these other women I saw, maybe even photographed, working hard. From Betty at The Cave clothing boutique in Oia, Santorini, Greece to the woman making Gözleme at the Kalkan market. From Massimilla di Serego Alighieri of the Serego Alighieri Winery in Gargagnogo, Italy to the hotel owner in Castelrotto, Italy who worried about me the day I was not feeling well. From Melissa, the Aussie girl I met to Deb, my wonderful friend and travel partner for 4 weeks. All the women I met were wonderful and unique. All the women that I am fortunate to be related to or friends with inspire me each day. So, to all my sisters, Cheers! This is our day! And to those who aren’t as fortunate as those of us in the States, keep fighting ladies! It may take time, but you can do it. We support you.
In honor of this special day, I thought I would post this image, one of my favorites, of that hard working woman with the great face.
